Types of Information Collected.
We collect two types of information about the Users of our Site: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Our primary goal in collecting information from you is to provide you with a smooth and efficient experience while using our Site.
Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. When you engage in certain activities on this Site and if you voluntarily provide the information or submit an online form/request, such as including but not limited to registering and/or requesting a blog subscription, commenting/reviews and/or replying to a blog post, submitting content and/or posting content in discussion forums or other public areas, filling out a survey, ordering a product, entering payment information, sending us feedback, entering a contest, writing a product review, etc., we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself. It is completely voluntary for you to engage in these activities. If you are at least 18 years of age and elect to engage in these activities, however, we may ask that you provide us personal information, including but not limited to your first and last name, mailing address (including zip code), email address, telephone number and/or other personal identifying information. When ordering products on the Site, you may be asked to provide your credit card information. Dependent upon the activity, some of the information we ask you to provide may be identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon where you visit on our Site. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include geographic, hardware and software information such as what type of browser you are using or mobile device type, and which URL (Uniform Resource Locator) you just came from or where you go to next and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Personally Identifiable Information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control; (b) the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed; and (c) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered within transit by a third party.
Collection Methods and Use of Information.
We do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. If you voluntarily provide your Personally Identifiable Information, we may provide an additional Opt In option to accompany your submission. This information may also be collected through third party platforms/services.
We may also collect certain Non-Personally Identifiable Information. This information is ultimately stored in the form of categories, and in some cases, specific URLs. We may also obtain information about you that is publicly available such as information you decide to post on a social media site and for which you will be solely responsible for such postings.
We will primarily use your Personally Identifiable Information to enhance the operation of our Site, to communicate with you, to process payments for orders, to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, statistically analyze Site use, to improve our product and service offerings, and to customize our Site's content, layout, and services. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information as it relates to your product purchases and/or your blog visits, comments and/or interactions, and its third-party hosting site, including but not limited to communications with you and/or to enforce our agreements with you.
Credit Card Purchases.
We are concerned about your right to privacy. When you visit our Site, you can be assured that any information you share with us will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to anyone outside of us. We may use the information you provide us to send you special offers that we feel may be of interest and use to you.
Information provided for your purchase (including billing name, billing address, telephone number, and credit card information) will not be shared or sold to anyone outside of us and affiliated companies nor to any third party not otherwise involved in processing payments and shipping orders. Payment information (credit card numbers and expiration dates) is treated confidentially and will not be shared with anyone except the financial institutions used to process payments.
When you place an order, register and/or request a blog subscription, comment/review, reply to a blog post, submit content and/or post content in discussion forums or other public areas, fill out a survey, enter payment information, send us feedback, enter a contest, etc., through the Site, we will maintain your order information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete your information, however, it may be impossible to completely delete your information without some residual information because of backups.
Release of Information.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personally Identifiable Information to others. We do provide some of our services through contractual arrangements with affiliates, services providers, partners and other third parties. We and our service partners use your Personally Identifiable Information to operate our sites and to deliver their services. For example, we must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment for products and services purchased on this Site, release your address information to the delivery service to deliver products that you ordered and provide order information to third parties that help us provide customer service.
We will encourage our service partners to adopt and post privacy policies. However, the use of your Personally Identifiable Information by our service partners is governed by the privacy policies of those service partners and is not subject to our control.
Occasionally we may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide Personally Identifiable Information to the appropriate governmental authorities. We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful.
We may also provide Nonpersonally Identifiable Information about our customers’ sales, traffic patterns, and related Site information to third party advertisers, but these statistics do not include any Personally Identifiable Information.
Updating and Correcting Information and Opt-Out.
You may correct Personally Identifiable Information provided to us by emailing us at email@example.com. Please include your name, address, and email address when you contact us. We encourage you to promptly update your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes.
You may Opt-Out from receiving information from us at any time by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also ask at any time to have your information deleted or removed, however, it may be impossible to completely delete your information without some residual information because of backups.
User Choices on Collection and Use of Information
We may, from time to time, send you emails regarding our products and services. In addition, if you indicated upon registration that you are interested in receiving offers or information from us and our partners, we may occasionally send you direct mail about products and services that we feel may be of interest to you. Only we (or agents working on behalf of us) will send you these direct mailings and only if you indicated that you do not object to these offers. If you do not want to receive such mailings, simply tell us when you give us your personal information. Or, at any time you can easily edit your account information to no longer receive such offers and mailings.
You also have choices with respect to cookies, as described below. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies some parts of our site may not work properly in your case.
Security of Information.
At our Site, you can be assured that your Personally Identifiable Information is secure, consistent with current industry standards. The importance of security for all Personally Identifiable Information associated with our User is of utmost concern to us. Your Personally Identifiable Information resides on a secure server(s) that only personnel of its third-party web provider (Shopify Inc.) and/or selected HMS Mfg. Co. personnel and/or its contractors or select third parties have access to via password.
In order to most efficiently serve you, credit card transactions and order fulfilment are handled by established third party banking, processing agents and distribution institutions. They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order.
When you use our Site, we will store cookies on your computer and we use Google Analytics to analyze, to track patterns and/or for marketing purposes in order to facilitate and customize your use of our Site. A cookie is a small data text file, which a website stores on your computer's hard drive (if your web browser permits) that can later be retrieved to identify you to us. The cookies make your use of the Site easier, make the Site run more smoothly and help us to maintain a secure Site. You are always free to decline our cookies, if your browser permits, and/or Opt-Out such as by visiting the Google Analytics Opt-out page and following its instructions. You understand that some parts of our Site may not work properly in that case.
We may use an outside ad serving company to display banner advertisements on our Site. As part of their service, they will place a separate cookie on your computer. We will not provide any third-party ad server with any of your Personally Identifiable Information or information about your purchases. We and our third-party ad server will collect and use Nonpersonally Identifiable Information about you, such as your IP address, browser type, the server your computer is logged onto, the area code and zip code associated with your server and whether you responded to a particular ad. Other advertisers may also place banner ads on our site in the same manner as above, but we will not disclose any Personally Identifiable Information to them.
Do Not Track Signals.
At this time, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals. We cannot guarantee if third parties accessed from this Site do or do not respond to these signals. For more information on your particular browser or device’s Do Not Track options, please see your browser and/or your device’s settings.

For this reason and in compliance with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children/minors. We ask that children/minors under the age of 18 do not use our Site or disclose Personally Identifiable Information to us.
